Spring dreaming of a wardrobe refresh

Here in Colorado it’s 15 degrees, so I am cuddled up in bed with a cup of green tea, dreaming of warmer days. Although spring is still snowy around here, and our flowers bloom in summertime, I switch to pastels and florals as soon as possible. I recently sold some clothes on Poshmark and I want to use that money for a little wardrobe refresh. Here’s some things I’ve been eyeing. Plus, a few things for Emmy girl of course.

Spring dreaming, mom and baby, pictures of clothes and shoes

White collared sweatshirt. I live in sweatshirts – they are my favorite. I thought this collared one would bring a bit more style to a usual go-to.

Floral skirt. Okay, I love the look of skirts but never feel comfortable in them. Ask my mom how many she bought me a kid that I begged for but never wore. This one from Buru is adorable and I love how they style it with moms in mind on their website. A good length is crucial in feeling comfortable – I want to show my legs but also bend over and pick up Emmy without worry. I think pairing it with a sweatshirt or sweater would also tone it down a bit – thoughts?

Waterproof boots. To know me, is to know I love Uggs. However, I haven’t felt very put together or cute in them lately. I thought this boot brought the comfort of Uggs but with a little bit more of a dressed-up-style. I think these would pair well with jeans, dresses/skirts and even leggings.

Sandals. I have had a pair of leopard Sam Edelman sandals for I think three or four years. They have been well-loved to say the least and I always get lots of compliments on them. This year, I would love to grab a classic color like the almond or saddle.

Tote bag. I’m on the hunt for a springy tote bag. I like the white and tan combo on this one.

Baby floral blouse. Well, this is precious. I like that it has long sleeves and would go well with white, pink, blue or green leggings – pretty much any pastel color.

Baby leggings. Gap is one of my favorite places for baby clothes. They are sized well and last long. You can’t go wrong with a little, subtle ruffle either. I plan to grab these in a few colors in Emmy’s next size up.

Baby sneakers. Right now Emmy has a cute pair of white sneakers. But, when she grows out of them I like this affordable pair with Velcro.
